The Tasmanian Ophthalmic Nursing Community is centred in Hobart, Burnie and Launceston, with nurses from around the State travelling to attend our Clinical Meetings. Representing around 17% of the AONAVIC Membership, we are a strong and supportive community that has wide representation across the subspecialty areas.
We provide 8 hours of clinical contact per year. With a local speaker presence, our members are actively involved with AONAVIC at Committee and National Council level, and continually help to inform practice. The Community and collegiality continues to grow and we are enthusiastic about the future. Currently, we are seeking Tasmanian based Members to assist with hosting and presenting at local clinical meetings and supporting our steps towards self-sustainability.
Find out about our next event on Saturday 10th August at Hobart Day Surgery. Themed, The Eyes Have It. (Reminder to members: log in to your myaccount then go to the S.A. page to register, otherwise the system will not recognise you).
