About AONAVIC
The Australian Ophthalmic Nurses Association Victoria inc. (AONAVIC), an incorportaed not-for-profit association representing ophthalmic nurses in Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania, aims to communicate and share current information, and exchange knowledge on a wide range of clinical and organisational aspects of care, to nurses, medical and allied health professionals involved in eye care services. We are a founding partner of the Australian Ophthalmic Nurses Association National Council, along side our peers in New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia. We have also formed colleagial links with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO), and nurse special interest groups in SA and VIC. Established originally in 1998 under the banner of AONA-New South Wales, AONAVIC became an official Association in 2000 under the leadership of Founding President and now life member Tim Puyk, with subsequent incorporation in 2008. Amongst our milestones, we have awarded 5 Life members and helped to inform professional practice for groups including the ACHS Clinical Indicator Committee and the Eye Bank Association of Australia and New Zealand. We provide members with regular clinical education meetings, a national newsletter and state newsletter, and a conference. We look forward to welcoming you as a new or continued member, or as a previous member who has a renewed interest in the world of Ophthalmic nursing. AONAVIC Constitution 2017 - AONAVIC is incorporated in the State of Victoria, Australia. |
